It is found throughout the plains adjacent to the hills in winter, and at that time of the year is given to frequenting heavy reed-beds and elephant-grass land as well as forest. They are very sociable little birds, a couple of pairs often hunting in company. The song is sweet, though feeble (ECS Baker-1924). zoom in/out (Max 2X) Distributed throughout the higher Himalaya migrates lower in winter. Res. S. Assam hills
