White-tailed Rubythroat, Luscinia pectoralis

Harsil, Uttarakhand, India
It is a winter visitor to the valley of Nepal, but is not common there. It was only observed in the central part of the valley, frequenting thick bushes and thorny hedges. It came out to the open ground to feed, but darted to cover again on the slightest alarm (J Scully-1879).
